Dr. Mark Farber MD, PhD, MS received his undergraduate degree from Brown University majoring in Chemical Engineering, followed by a Masters of Science degree from Brown University Graduate School where he helped develop new chemical coatings to improve cement and heart valves. After working in the biotech industry and at Harvard Medical School Dr. Farber earned a combined MD/PhD in Biomedical Engineering, where his research project earned the highly prestigious NIH Ruth Kirschstein National Research Service Award for MD/PhD students from the NIH/NINDS. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of South Florida and moved to Los Angeles, where he worked as a private hospitalist at Cedars Sinai Hospital until starting his private clinic.
Dr. Farber is an accomplished scientist, engineer and physician with extensive experience in a broad range of scientific, engineering and medical arenas, which he uses to help diagnose and treat his patients. Dr. Farber’s unique scientific and holistic approach to patient care involves taking time to listen to patients to quickly and efficiently figure out the right diagnosis and treatment for any mental or physical ailment patients may have.
